NOTICE ON SCIENTIFIC LECTURE
On the behalf of Department of Civil Engineering, Pulchowk Campus and Thapathali Campus, we are jointly organizing a talk program on earthquake early warning.
This time, we will have Prof. Dr. Henri Gavin from Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, USA. He has been working on earthquake early warning system since long time. He will be here in Nepal soon. His research students from USA have already been here and they have been doing a collaborative research works with our students.
Let’s take an opportunity to listen his scientific lecture on how to develop an earthquake early warning system in the context of Nepal and what would be a robust methods for early warning development! This presentation will definitely provide an overview of recent advances in earthquake early warning. The program detail will be in the following manner.
